Q: How is postage calculated?
A: For all items less than 100 points we recommend they should be sent either 1st or 2nd Class Post as Standard with proof of postage. Items over 100 points we suggest should be sent registered post or signed for.
Q: Can I post abroad?
A: Currently Swop2Shop is UK and Channel Islands based only.
Q: Are my points secure?
A: All Swop2Shop points are secure provided they are traded within the Swop2Shop site.
Q: I need to buy more Points?
A: Just go to our Buy Points Tab to purchase a variety of products.
Q: What happens if I accumulate 1000s of points?
A: Lucky You! Hopefully you will find plenty to spend them on. Points have no monetary value outside of the Swop2Shop site.
Q: Can my 16yr old daughter join?
A: Yes she can provided she has a valid bank account to meet PayPal requirements.
Q: What happens if I don’t receive an item that I have paid for in points?
A: You must report this to admin@swop2shop.co.uk immediately. We will do our best to resolve the dispute. You must also leave feedback as this is vital to the smooth running of the site. Please see our Terms and Conditions.
Q: Can I buy Gift Vouchers?
A: Yes. Please go to our Buy Points page.
Q: This sounds too good to be true?
A: No catches, Just the ability to Re-cycle, Re-vamp and Re-invent your wardrobe without the need for cash.
Q: Will Swop2Shop add more clothing catagories througout the year?
A: Your feedback is vital here as we need to hear from our members about brands they want to see listed.
Q: Teenage Fashion?
A: No problem. Under Women’s you can search by Brand as well as by typing in the text box. New items are being added daily. From High Street to Vintage, Swop2Shop allows all fashion styles to be swapped.
Q: Kids Fashion?
A: No problem. Just visit the Kids section and you will find more high street brands for children.
Q: How do I calculate the value of my item that I am about to list?
A: Be realistic you want a swap to take place and gain points. Check out other peoples listings, see what is selling and how many points are listed for that item.
Remember the more you swap the more you gain in points.
Q: How long is my item listed for?
A: All items are on a 28-day cycle or until a swap takes place. If your item has not been swapped within this time period, then you will have the ability to re-list and re-evaluate your listing criteria.
Q: I'm having problems viewing the site, what should I do?
A: Please ensure that the internet browser that you are using is updated to the latest version, for example, if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, it is recommended that you update this to Internet Explorer 8.

Q: How will items from Swop2Shop be posted?
A: For all items under 100 points, Swop2Shop will post these out to you second class post. Items over 100 points we will be sent registered post or signed for.
Q: I have “Bought” several items from Swop2Shop, can I combine the postage costs?
A: Unfortunately due to the way in which items are picked from our warehouse facilities we cannot guarantee that the items will be dispatched at the same time. As such we cannot combine the cost of the postage, as each swap takes place as a separate transaction. We will be constantly reviewing this.
Q: I have sent in several bags to Swop2Shop, how do I know that they have been received safely?
A: We will acknowledge receipt of each FREEPOST bag that comes in to Swop2Shop. If you have sent in more than one FREEPOST bag, then you will receive individual acknowledgment for every bag Swop2Shop receives. If within 7 days of posting you have not received confirmation please email us at admin@swop2shop.co.uk.
Q: I have been credited fewer points than I was originally expecting, can I change my mind about selling my Clothes to Swop2Shop?
A: We guarantee to value the clothes sent in to Swop2Shop fairly. We take into account wear to the clothes, desirability, brand, and age. If you do not think we have given you a fair value then the items can be purchased back from Swop2Shop for the same number of points given. Remember we credit your account individually for each bag you send us, so if you have sent in two bags then you will receive two emails notifying you of the addition of points to your account.
Q: I have sent in two bags of clothes, will I get two emails telling me the points credited?
A: Absolutely, we not only acknowledge each bag individually, but will credit the value for the clothes individually as well.
Q: I have received an email stating that the clothes were not of suitable standard for the site, why is this?
A: We have strict standards in place to ensure that both those sending clothes and those purchasing from Swop2Shop are treated fairly. If the clothes are torn, badly marked outdated or we feel are not in saleable condition then we will not list them. When sending in clothes please consider whether you would purchase the items sent in second hand.
Q: Why is Swop2Shop offering this FREEPOST service?
A: We appreciate that our members are busy, and finding time to take photos and list your items can be quite difficult. To help you start your swapping experience we have decided for a limited time only to buy your clothes from you. This allows for you, our member, to have immediate spending power. We believe once you realise how easy the site is, that you will continue to list the items yourself.
Q: Will this service become chargeable?
A: Yes. We will in the future look for charging for this service. This will help cover the postage of items to us as well as our time in listing your items. We will notify members before we charge for this service.
Q: I have had my free FREEPOST bag, but want to send in more clothes, can I have another bag?
A: We are more than happy to list your clothes for you. When logging into your account, you have the option to “Let us list your clothes for you”. Here you can purchase additional bags from Swop2Shop.
Q: Why Can’t I post items to Swop2Shop not using a FREEPOST bag?
A: The FREEPOST bags are of strength that they protect the clothes from being damaged in transit. It also ensures that only members can post items in to Swop2Shop. Any items received that have not been sent in a FREEPOST bag will not be accepted.
Q: Who owns the stock on the Swop2Shop account?
A: Once your items are sent in to Swop2Shop and your points have been credited then the clothes become the possession of Swop2Shop. Items listed on your personal account remain your possession until a swap takes place.
